To everyone who wishes to study abroad or has a chance to study overseas, my advice is to go for it and seize that opportunity because it will give a huge impact to your life.

1. Why did you choose to study in Japan?

Studying abroad has always been a dream of mine since high school. I had a couple of my desired universities and countries, however, I chose Japan for pursuing my bachelor degree due to these three reasons. First of all, Japan has a high standard of learning and teaching system, which I can advance and deepen my knowledge in the chosen field. Secondly, Japanese people appear to be a group of most hardworking ones. Therefore, surrounding myself with this type of people will certainly stimulus my personal growth. Lastly, Japan is considered to be one of the safest and most beautiful country in the world, including many interesting things to be explored. For these reasons and proper consideration, I had decided to study in Japan.

2. How did you prepare Doc and find info before you study in Japan?

I was recommended about this school by my brother and I have also joined the “study abroad in Japan” seminar at CJCC to get more information. As for the preparation process, I wouldn’t say it was easy, but it wasn’t that complicated because I followed every instruction and got support from my seniors, which was very helpful. There are 3 steps in order to get into APU. Firstly, filling out an application form, which can be found on the university’s website. Secondly, after the application form has been reviewed and accepted, students will move to the interview stage where many essential questions will be asked. Lastly, waiting for the result, if you get selected, you can start applying for a student visa. From there, you simply wait for the school to commence and start your university career.

3. What do you expect to learn or discover in your time abroad?

During my time studying in Japan, I expect to gain knowledge in my major as much as possible. Also, I hope to explore new things as well as perspectives from different types of people. Most importantly, I expect to see me grow as a human being and become a person who can put major impact to one’s society.

4. What are excites you about studying abroad?

From my own experience, the most fascinating thing about studying abroad has always been the moment when you step out of your most comfort zone as you realize that you are going to start a new journey by yourself. Besides, there are many more such as meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, seeing self-improvement, trying new things that you've never even heard before, and whatnot.

5. What advice would you give to another student?

To everyone who wishes to study abroad or has a chance to study overseas, my advice is to go for it and seize that opportunity because it will give a huge impact to your life. Most importantly, do not limit yourself by just focusing on study, but to discover yourself by participating extracurricular activities because these may teach what are not taught in school. My last piece of advice is to always make the best use of your time.
